All Your Base R Belong 2 US

To make a Mark:
In interviews and Q&As, CCP has been saying “the goal is to have it where the large Corps in EVE hire the DUST Mercs to take over Planets for them”. The whole focus has been put on Mercs as Employs and Capsuleers are Employers. With this mentality it is no wonder the Throne holders of EVE are not paying too much notice to DUST. Without rare enough recourses, the ability to affect system SOV or to do any long range damage in a Fleet battle from planet side people don’t think we can’t make a mark.
So how do we make DUST matter?

First you must understand “the Sandbox”. We are not limited to just being guns for hire (though you can be if you want to) you will be given the tools to blaze your own trail. Let’s start by looking at some statement’s:
“That’s because EVE and DUST share the same player-run corporations. That is to say, EVE Online players can join DUST 514 corps. Likewise, DUST 514 players can join EVE Online corporations”
From Beginnings

"We are working hard on making EVE corporations completely seamless between EVE and DUST 514. This means that from the point of view of all corporation functionality, it shouldn’t matter whether a corporation member is a DUST player or an EVE player."
From Tools of the Trade
So though a DUST Merc may be stuck on “the ground” his Corporation doesn’t have to be. (I spoke about him before and will do so again) ZionShad and a few others brought up some very valid points within the DUST closed Beta Forum in bits and pieces of how to make a mark and affect aspects of EVE even if it’s not directly related to the planets themselves. He was the first person I have seen openly bring up the Idea of being a DUST Corp and have Capsuleers work for him instead of waiting for the other way around. With this Idea a Dust Corp or Alliance could affect system SOV if they had the Ship power to back it.
“Using voice chat, DUST and EVE players will be able to communicate with one another in realtime. Text chat is of course supported too”

Let me set up a scenario for you, based on the knowledge I have on EVE and DUST.
A large DUST Corp (with a Capsuleer PvP division), sets its eyes on a neighboring system that it wishes to takeover, the first step in taking over something right is "intelligence". How do you find out how many Pilots are on the other side of the gate and know when the best time is to strike? You take over a planet in that system. Once planetary takeover is complete a DUST Corp then has access to local chat of the system and is then in access of the set information of who and how many are within the system for the duration of their ownership of that planet. Then they are empowered with the knowledge of knowing when to strike. So think about this, with this kind of intelligence network that the DUST Mercs could in theory set up, they would have the ability to sell that Intel to any bidder.
Say you want to move something and need to know which way to go; you would then contact the DUST Intel network and for a fee be offered the Intel of each system to know the best route to take. This alone will shake and rattle EVE Warfare as we know it.
Now how do you get Your DUST Corp to keep in the fight and take over these now valuable planets without buying Aur items directly? Simply by buying them indirectly.
“Certain items are only available through ISK transactions, while others are only available through AUR. These are then traded freely on a player-driven secondary marketplace.”
From Beginnings
This statement simply says it is not a pay to win system on the fact that everyone will have access to ALL the same items.
Now DUST Wars are going to become more valuable because now DUST will have intelligence as a resource as well. Hints “A Game of Shadows”.
 Knowledge is Power.
MT246 “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars.”
