to know the Corporations forming within the DUST 514 Beta and interview the
players who run them.

Earlier today I had a chance to speak with the very intelligent
and very beautiful Chairwoman of Betamax Jenza Aranda. She was asked 10 questions
about DUST, her Corp and herself and this is what she had to say.
Nameless 514: So every ones know who you are, would you mine
an Introduction of yourself?
Jenza : Everyone knows? That’s worrying! Hopefully
not everyone! I'm Jen. Jenza Aranda from
DUST 514 and chairwoman for Betamax.
Nameless 514: Being the ChairWoman of Betamax, what is
Betamax to you?
Jenza : Betamax was
born from the people who hung out in the beta IRC channel. A lot of the most
noteworthy and skilled players hung out there. Most of them where originally
planning to go separate ways come launch and make their own corps until one
person suggested all these great players make one together, we started slow and
things snowballed from there as me and the other board members started organizing
things. It was this reason that i was elected as Chairwoman or so i believe.
Nameless 514: From what I gather Betamax is already and will
strive to be a highly involved in the DUST 514 Community. What type of
interaction and Community service do you and Betamax have in the works?
Jenza : Well, many of
the members and a couple of board members already post articles for dust514.org
and dustbase.com. I myself intend on running for a DUST CSM position if CCP
decide to make one.
Nameless 514: What do
you see for the future of DUST514?
Jenza: Who knows! I know ideas are being thrown at CCP all
the time on the forums, and we all know they read them all. I don’t know what
DUST will be like in a few years but know it will be interesting.
Nameless 514: What do you look forward to the most?
Jenza : definitely dust effecting Sov and capturing planets
or even selling them, there has been a lot of talk in Betamax about what our
direct aim should be there.
Nameless 514: Now as a Female player, do you find your sex
being a advantage or a hindrance in Gaming?
Jenza : Considering I
find myself in the top few players in each game no. However I'm sure that
everyone knows that sexism in online games, especially FPSs is fairly common.
Usually i just ignore these assholes and laugh at them with my higher score and
ability!
Nameless 514: What moment in game sticks out in your mind?
Any funny Team stories you can let us in on?
Jenza : Well there
was this time in a game some idiot kept telling me to "get back in the
kitchen." I was already firmly in first place by then so I decided to
spend the rest of the game team killing him in various ways. The rage and tears
where glorious!
Nameless 514: LOL Love it…! -If someone wanted to query
about joining Betamax, where should they go and what can they expect once they
apply?
Jenza : If you where
to fill out a application form while signing up at betamax.enjin.com a board
member will review it then decide or not to make you a recruit, from there an
assessor will organize a game together to assess general ability and to ask a
few questions to decide if they should gain full entry to Betamax.

you would like to share?
Jenza : If there are
FPS clans coming to DUST 514, it’s a good idea to realize that Corps are very
different to clans and should treat it more like a business than anything else.
